When I was young, I usually dream of holding a good wallet.. Until now, my dream never come true, because when I stood at the conspicuous shopwindow, looking at the unacceptable price, I was awkward. It is almost my monthly pay so that I can’t afford it. Then I said to myself: I must earn more money to get the wallet and to make my dream come true. But sometimes I think it’s no need to buy it in that high price. These two ideas puzzled me for a long time, and how to solve it?

As a coin has two sides, people has different opinion about it. In other people’s mind, it’s unnecessary to buy the wallet in that price. It’s somehow a waste. They pursued the functional usage, and want to buy a wallet in a low price. The problem is they can find the wallet they want in the world.

To buy such a costly wallet, it is ridiculous in someone’s mind. But I don’t think so. As we all know, something expensive means it is in good quality. On one hand, the good wallet can use for a long time ,we don’t need to worry the quality, on the other hand, the expensive wallet must have something special, like the design, the outlook, the structure, the material and so on. These things in someway to show your aesthetic standard, to show your own elegant characteristic. Even though it is expensive, but it could make me feel better when I take out the wallet.

All in all, on no account can someone make up their mind to buy such a costly purse. But in my opinion, I will get it whatever the price it is if it can take something good to me. Because I think it’s worth buying.
 
 

Baselworld is my favourite world watch show. It is one of the world¡¯s largest watch and jewellery show.

Baselworld at first was established in 1917 as Schweizer Mustermesse Basel (MUBA in short) with a special section devoted to watches and jewellery. In 1925, the MUBA invited several watch manufacturers to the show.And in 1931 the first “Schweizer Uhrenmesse”, Swiss Watch Show was set up in a specialized pavilion at the MUBA. In 1972, the MUBA held “Europe’s meeting place” exhibition gathering the companies from France, Italy, Germany, and United Kingdom, which marked an important event in the history of the show. In 1973, the first “Europ?ische Uhren- und Schmuckmesse” (EUSM in short) , European Watch and Jewellery Show was held. In 1983 the show changed its name to BASEL plus two numerals denoting the exhibition year– Basel 83. In 1986, Basel 86 allowed companies from outside Europe for the first time. In 1999, the official opening of the new watch hall, Hall 1, covering 2 ¡Á 18,000 m2 was constructed. In 2003, a new offical name was introduced–Baselworld, the World and Jewellery Show. Baselworld witnessed the most remarkable moment as becoming the leading world show in the luxury goods industry. A new hall complex is converted into the “Hall of Universe”, Hall 6, which made the area expand to 160,000 m2.

Baselworld has become the top watch show in Europe and even in the world since 1972. It has attracted the most renowned watch manufacturers and designers from all over the world into the famous city of Switzerland, Basel, to experience the international annual event. With the development of these years, Baselworld has expanded its exihibitions from watch, jewellery, to the related parts and products.

More than 2000 companies from 45 countries in the watch, jewellery and precious-stone industries has showcased their latest developments and innovations in Basel. Most of them are well-known brands in the luxury goods industry in the world. About 100,000 visitors from 100 countries has made their way to Basel to discover the fascinating world of watch and jewellery sectors.

Baselworld has given a unique chance for both exhibitors and visitors. For exhibitors, they can display their most symbolic works to the potential customers. Besides, the business deals and sales conducted during the course of Baselworld have been reported as very productive. Last but not least, we should know the dressing codes. To be more specific, we should know how to dress properly on different occasions. Only in this way, can we show the charm perfectly.

There is no doubt that office ladies should dress formally and elegant, because they often attend business conferences. A black suit or white suit with a pair of high heels is acceptable. Besides, office ladies can put on light make-up to look more energetic.
